Shih-Tzu

       Shih-Tzu or Lion Dog or Chrysanthemum Dog, this breed are popular pets in Thailand that they can found at all region in Thailand. This breed originated in China that the characteristic are pretty, alert and friendly that make anyone fall in love them.

Appearance  

    A small dog with a short muzzle and large, dark eyes. With a soft and long double coat, they stands no more than 11 inches (28cm.) and with an ideal weight of 9-16 pounds (4-7kg.). Drop ears are covered with long fur, and the heavily furred tail is carried curled over the back. The coat may be of any color include various shades of gold, white and brown. Life spans are about 15 years or more.

Temperament and Living conditions

     The Shih-Tzu is an alert, lively, little dog. Happy and hardy, packed with character. The gentle loyal Shih-Tzu makes friends easily and responds well to consistent patient training. They make a very alert watch dog. Courageous and clever. Playful and spunky, this affectionate little dog likes to be with people and are generally good with other pets.They are good for apartment life and fairly active indoors and will do okay without a yard. This breed is sensitive to the heat. 



Health Problems

    They have problem about slipped stifle and spinal disc disease, ear infections, eye problems, early tooth loss and respiratory problems (tends to wheeze and snore).
